Hello leaders! What a blessing it is to serve with the most wonderful volunteers on the North Shore! This past Sunday we reached an incredible milestone and for the first time ever broke an attendance of 400 with 403 kids in Promiseland. We couldn't have done it without you! Thank you for your commitment to reach our kids and families on the North Shore for God's kingdom! God calls each of us to be good stewards over the "talents" under our watch. Praise God that He continues to see fit that we receive more!
Steve came down to Promiseland to check on everyone and if you missed him he wanted to convey to all Promiseland volunteers how proud he was of the team and what an incredible job everyone was doing. I'm so thankful that we have a pastor who appreciates and understands the value of a strong children's ministry.
Please pray as Promiseland presents the gospel to our K-5 grade kids this Sunday. What an awesome opportunity we have to move kids closer to being more Christ centered! |

Hello FABULOUS volunteers! What a kingdom victory we had this weekend helping 379 kids and 9 visiting families become more Christ centered as we shared with them the good news of Easter!
That's what Promiseland IS ALL ABOUT!
It's easy to lose focus on the details and get confused with "where all the Easter Eggs went for the 11:30 service" but what's most important is that every week YOU help kids become more like Christ!
In fact that's what our training IS ALL ABOUT this coming Sunday at both the 9 and 11 o'clock services. If you've ever wondered how to help kids become more Christ centered, Susan Shadid from Promiseland South Barrington will be leading us through the spiritual development steps of children. Please make arrangements to attend this new training class. We will provide breakfast and message CD's for you who choose to train and volunteer over attending big church. It's THAT important! I'll bet my name on it!

This class will be offered on April 11 at 9am and 11am. Susan Shadid who is the Director of Scope and Sequence Birth through Twenties at South Barrington will be teaching this class. Holy week is upon us and there are many opportunities to worship and share the good news with our families, friends and neighbors. As you participate in each of these great services we want to ask you to serve in Promiseland and teach our kids about these holy events.
Seder Dinner- The church is sponsoring an off-site Seder dinner April 1st. If you are interested in participating you can find more information here.
Good Friday Services- This year our Good Friday services are April 2nd at 6 and 7:30. We will be providing Promiseland for infants through age 5. Please let us know if you can serve at either hour by emailing jlake@willowcreek.org or signing up here.
Easter Sunday- Easter Sunday is April 4th and the church will have 3 Easter services- 8:30, 10, and 11:30. This is different than our regular Promiseland schedule. With our anticipation of high attendance would you consider serving at one of the newly scheduled services. You can email jlake@willowcreek.org or sign up here.

Hey volunteers. One housekeeping tip for Sundays. The school has graciously allowed us to meet in the library for huddles, breakfast, and
other trainings. However it's not part of our rental agreement to use the books, animals, props, or computers.
Would you help me remind other leaders, families, and children that enter the Library to abide by this policy?
Please let me know if there are resources in the Library that belong to the school that we should acquire for Promiseland to help increase the Sunday
morning experience and I can investigate.

Snow or no snow we
will have our Sip N Sled next Sunday. I do need volunteers to help set up
at 9:10am and 11:30am. I will also need help at each Hot Chocolate/Coffee
Station at 10:10am and 12:10pm. If you can help please let me know or
check out the new Promiseland Web site and sign up there https://sites.google.com/a/wcns-promiseland.org/info/
The user name is Volunteer and the Password is Promiseland. You will sign
up under the Upcoming Events section.
While you are
signing up for the Sip N Sled. We also need help for the Pajama Party on
Saturday March 20 and we need you to RSVP for the Chili Cook-Off and let us know
what you will bring.
